Ann Pleasant Cook, age 78, passed away on December 29, 2024. She grew up in Durham and was the daughter of Major and Virgie Pleasant. She was a beloved daughter, sister and aunt.
Ann was a graduate of Durham High School and Croft Business School. She was employed with the Eye Clinic at N.C. Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat (formerly McPherson Hospital) for over 40 years.
For over 25 years she faced the challenges of living with multiple sclerosis. When she was able to travel, she attended Lea’s Chapel Methodist Church in Roxboro where she sometimes played the piano in the morning.
She enjoyed family trips to the mountains and Boone each year to celebrate her birthday. She enjoyed watching TV, playing games on the computer, working word puzzles and reading.
Ann is survived by her sister, Betty Eason of Durham; a nephew, Frank Eason of New Bern; niece, Christie Windsor of Greensboro and several great nieces and nephews.
