Marilyn Barbara Aiello, born 22 September 1957, was a compassionee and genee person who touched the lives of many ineer work as a pharmacist and clinical trials coordinator, and she will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her. She was especially attached to the many Duke patients and caregivers that she met in the course of her work. After a valiant battle with ovarian cancer Marilyn passed away peacefully and quietly on 28 October 2011. She was the daughter of Helen Kuchmak of Alberta, Canada and the late Walter Kuchmak. She is survived by Walter, her loving husband of 32 years, sons Louis Aiello NC aneeric Aiello NC and her step daughters Rosalia Aiello CA and Natasha Aiello CA. Also mourning her loss is her mother, Helen Kuchmak of Radway, AB, Canada, her brother Dan Norine, her goddaughter Megan of Stony Plain, Alberta and nieces and nephews Justin, Matthew and Julia of Stony Plain, AB, Canada. Marilyn was predeceased by her father, Walter Kuchmak 2006 and Brother Nicholas 2003. She will also be missed by maneextended relatives and in-laws, including Annette Ricardo Cortez Aiello of Panama, Virginia Hank Aldrich of CT and Christopher Lori Aiello of CT. Marilyn's special sisters by choice Mona Notinger TX, Jill Gabel NC, Mae Burks NC, and Kathleen Wright NC were especially dear to her. She was deeply touched by the love and concern shown by her aunts, cousins and friends, and for all their prayers. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM Wednesday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, during which the Parastas prayer service will be held. The Divine Liturgy of the Ukrainian Catholic Church will be offered 10:00 AM Thursday from Immaculate Conception Church, Durham, with Fr. Mark Shuey presiding. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. A memorial liturgy will be offered 11:00AM on Saturday, 5 neember 2011 at the Sts. Borys and Hlid Ukrainian Catholic Church ineedwater, Alberta, Canada celebrated by Father Stan Bjeli. Memorial donations canee made to the Eldorena Ukrainian Catholic Church, c/o Mr. Mike Halun, Box 674 Redwater, AB Canada TOA 2W0, to help preserve this historic landmark that was pioneered a century ago by some of Marilyn' s ancestors. The family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. Aneew Berchuck and his staff at the Duke Uneersity hospital for giving Marilyn many additional months of life, and for the tremendous support from our friends and neighbors in Lochnora and the Durham Community.
