Margaret Chaneer

DURHAM- Margaret Ruth Hicks Chaneer, 91 of Durham died on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at her residence. Borneecember 7, 1925 in Orange County to the late Willie Hicks and Nellie Dodson Hicks. Margaret lived her life to the fullest. She loved her family and her many friends and she neer met a stranger. Margaret found joy and conteneent wherever she was ineer life. She loved her 43 years of working life just as much as her retirement years. The world was a better place with her in it, and she will be sorely missed. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Polly Yates and husband, Steve of Durham and neerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, Dave Chaneer, and by her brothers Malcolm and Oscar Hicks, and sisters Lucille Hicks and Francis Ham. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 22, 2017 at Olive Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Wheeler and Rev. Hugh O???Shield officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM Friday, September 22, 2017 at Olive Branch Baptist Church prior to service.
