Margaret B. Adcock Margaret B. Adcock, 94, of Oxford, died at home On July 16, 2016. Margaret was one of the oldest members of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (Berea Community) and was loved by many. Having been a local Librarian and writer for the Oxford Ledger she was known to many for her love of books, flowers and animals. She was the coordinator of the Berea Fire Dept. cake walk for several years and also wrote many of the Christmas programs at her church as well as taught Sunday School Class and Summer vacation bible schools. She was a woman of strong Christian faith and a friend to all who knew her. She loved preparing homemade food and taking flowers from her garden to visit those ineeed or sick. Margaret is preceded ineeath by her husband, Oscar S. Adcock and her two sons; Oscar Allen and Larry Nathan (wife Linda) Adcock. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Adcock neell and husband Frank of Warrenton as well as her daughter-in-law Gwen Adcock of the Berea Community, seven Grandchildren, seven Great Grandchildren, and three Great Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Monday, July 18th in the afternoon from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m., the funeral ceremony will follow at 3:00 p.m. by the Rev. Keith Williams with burial afterwards at the church cemetery. Flowers are welcomed or memorial contributions canee made to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1171 Hwy 158 W., Oxford, NC, 27565.
