Mamie Burgess Ellis

Mamie "Polly" Lee Burgess Ellis, age 96, died at Cambridge Hills in Pittsboro, NC where she was residing Sunday December 25, 2011 following a period of declining health. Ms. Ellis was born in Chatham County on April 02, 1915. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Mamie was a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church. . Mamie is preceded ineeath by her husband Dorsey Lee Ellis, her daughter Paulineellis Burns, her parents Junie and Alice Burgess, and her brother William Theodore "Stumpy" Burgess. Visitation will be held Wednesday December 28, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Mount Gilead Baptist Church.
