Lynn Marie Edwards

Lynn Marie Edwards of Raleigh, NC., after a short illness passed away on February 1, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. She was only 60 years of age. Her family and friends are deeply saddened by her sudden illness and death.

Lynn was born on February 27,1963, to Ada & Wayne Edwards at Falls Church, VA. At an early age the family moved to Raleigh, NC., where she graduated Millbrook High School and attended Eastern Carolina University. Upon leaving the University Lynn worked with the Hertz Corporation at RDU as an agent for over 35 years until her passing.

Lynn is survived by her sister Lisa Edwards, cousins: Debbie Jenkins and her husband John, Phyllis Parsons and Steve Vinson. She is also loved and remembered by her lifelong friends of 40 plus years, Lisa S Harrelson and Joanie Kirtley.

Lynn was predeceased by her mother Ada B. Finch, who died October 23,2009 and her father H. Wayne Edwards, who died December 24, 2020.

Her canine companion, Marcos, was dear to Lynn. Marcos has stayed behind with Lynn’s friend Joannie, but her other feline babies Sparkle, Samantha and Elmo are on a long walk with her now.

The Family wishes to thank Select Specialty Hospital staff at Durham, NC., for all the time they spent with Lynn even though it was short, and the care they gave during the heartbreaking final moments of Lynn’s life.

A Celebration of Life for Lynn will be scheduled during early Spring 2024 near her parent’s hometown of Conway, NC. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for Lynn and the family.
