Louise Gooch Adcock

OXFORD: Louise Gooch Adcock, age 96 died Thursday, December 12, 2013 at her residence, Granville House. A native of Granville County, she was born on May 18, 1917 to the late Noah Cheatham Gooch and Maggie Booth Critcher Gooch. She was the widow of Benjamin Thomas "Benee" Adcock. Louise was a member of Hester Baptist Church and was a retired ward clerk at Murdock Center in Butner. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Hester Baptist Church by Reverend Alex Gallimore and Reverend Irvin Adcock. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving is her daughter, Margaret Adcock Robinson of Raleigh; daughter-in-law, Margaret B. Adcock of Raleigh; a grandson, Benjamin Thomas Adcock, III Julie of Apex; a great grandson, Luca of Apex and a special friend, Edna Brooks. She is preceded ineeath by a son, Benjamin Thomas "Tom" Adcock, Jr.; and her sisters, Evelyn G. McDonald aneethel G. Knott. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM prior to the service in the church parlor. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hester Baptist Church, PO Box 964, Oxford, NC 27565.
