Louise Coleman Patton

Louise Coleman Patton, age 88, died Friday, August 28, 2009 at Wake Med Hospital. Mrs. Patton was born in Danville, VA on June 27, 1921 to the late Ballard and Rosa Robertson Coleman. She was a long-time member of Trinity Uneed Methodist Church and the Susanna Wesley Sunday school class. Her church family will be forever grateful for her many years of devotion to the church. Expressions of her devotioneere felt in the Sunday school classroom, the sanctuary and the church kitchen. Fineexamples of needlework created by Louise and her friends from the Altar Guild are in use today in the church. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm at Trinity Uneed Methodist Church with the Reverend Duke Lackey presiding. Burial will be private in Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family in the church parlor one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Patton is survived by her daughter, Elaine Patton English and partner, David Seth Alterman, of Washington, DC; her son, Patrick Thomas Patton and wife, Cathy Cooksey Patton, of Raleigh, NC; her brothers: Rawley Coleman of Culpeper, VA; J.W. "Billy" Coleman of Danville, VA; her sister, Adalia Coleman Hubbard of Richmond, VA; her grandchildreneerik Todd English; Molly Elizabeth Patton; and Haley Noelle Patton; and niece, Cynthia Ann Hubbard. She was preceded ineeath by her loving husband of 52 years, Floyd E. Patton, who died in 1994. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Altar Guild, c/o Trinity Uneed Methodist Church, 215 N.
