Lonee L. "Jimmie" Dean

DURHAM -Lonee L. ???Jimmie??? Dean, 82, died Sunday, October 19, 2014. Jimmie was borneecember 2, 1931 in Wake County to the late Junie and Minee Watkins Dean. He was a graduate of Durham High School and attended the Uneersity of North Carolina. Jimmy was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. A member of Grey Stone Church in Durham, he was a deacon and also taught Sunday School. Jimmie worked at Hendrick Auto for over 25 years, retiring in 2009. He owned Deaneealty & Insurance and was an avid NASCAR fan. Jimmie enjoyed fishing, golf, travel and the beach. Jimmie was preceded ineeath by his wife, June Adams Dean; his brothers, Bill, Buck, Junius, Aubrey, and David Dean; his sisters, Edna Lockamy, Marie Barber, Mozelle Browing, and Agnes Ray. Surviving are his sons, Michael Dean of Bahama; Robert Dean and wife, Teresa, of Creedmoor; a granddaughter, Hope Dean; and two great grandsons, Caleb and Logan Holt. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, October 22, 2014??at Grey Stone Church with Dr. Clay Waters officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
