Lois Olivia Stout Shaw

Lois Olivia Stout Shaw, 96, passed away at the Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro oneecember 7, 2009. Lois was born on March 11, 1913 to Ada Johnson and Arthur Monee Stout of Rives Chapel community, Chatham County She was a retired sales clerk, and her enjoyment was her flowers and garden. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Janie Shaw of Pittsboro; daughter and son-in- law, Carolyn and H.T. Mullen, Jr. of Elizabeth City; three grandchildren and their spouses, Brian Shelly, Bonee Chris, and Herb Jaime; five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Caroline, Carson, Olivia and Hyla. Her husband, Colon L. Shaw, preceded her ineeath ineecember, 1984. She was also preceded ineeath by her sister, Peggy Stout Burke; and her brothers, Lumice, Floyd and Arvie Stout. The funeral service for Mrs. Lois Shaw will be conducted at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Pittsboro Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 6 8 pm Tuesday at Hall Wynne Funeral Home, Griffin Chapel, and at other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Shaw.
