Oxford, NC Lois M. Currin, 90, died at home, surrounded by family on January 22, 2019 after a fulfilling life. She was the daughter of the late John Wesley Mangum and Grace Kathryn Blackwell of Granville County, NC. Lois was a devoted wife to James W. "Bill Currin, Sr. and a wonderful mother and homemaker. She was a longstanding member at Tabbs Creek Church and taught Sunday School for many years. Lois is survived by her children, Beverly C. Parham (Marshall), and J.W. Currin, Jr. (Mechelle); grandchildren, Lori Nutt (Chris), Nori Wilson, Byron Currin and Kate Davis (Sam). Lois is also survived by her two great grandchildren, Caleb and Ali; as well as numerous loving family and friends, whom will all miss her dearly. Lois is predeceased by her husband, James W. "Bill Currin; and her parents. A funeral service officiated by Rev. Stan Jenkins and Rev. Lemar Wheeler will be held at Tabbs Creek Baptist Church on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11:00 am with a visitation at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall of the church on the same day. Burial to follow at Salem United Methodist Church. Family will also receive guests at the home after the service. Flowers are accepted and appreciated, or you may make a memorial contribution to Tabbs Creek Baptist Church. The Currin Family is under the care of Gentry-Newell - Vaughn Funeral Home of Oxford.
