Linda Brooks Kidd

Mrs. Linda Brooks Kidd, 43, died July 19, 2011 at Duke Medical Center in Durham following a prolonged illness. The daughter of Charlie Franklin Brooks, Jr. and Rachel Ogburn Brooks of Moncure, Linda was born April 5, 1968 ineee County. Linda's love for people, especially children, was exhibited by her profession as a pediatric nurse. Her engaging personality would ensure that she neer met a stranger. Linda also enjoyed music; she played piano at Pittsboro Presbyterian Church and also at Pittsboro Baptist Church for a number of years. Growing up, Linda and her sisters Rhonda and Amy were known as "Charlie's Angels". Linda is survived by her husband of nearly five years, Roger Kidd; step-daughters, Brittany Kidd aneemily Kidd, both of Pittsboro; her parents, Charlie and Rachel Brooks of Moncure; and her sisters, Rhonda Brooks and Amy Brooks, both of Moncure. The service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Linda Brooks Kidd will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at Pittsboro Baptist Church. Reverend Troy Lesher-Thomas, Reverend Ray Gooch and Reverend Dr. Tripp Harmon will preside. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5:30 8:00 pm Thursday at Hall Wynne Funeral Home in Pittsboro.
