Linda Briggs Hilton

Linda Briggs Hilton, age 73, of Oxford, NC died Sunday, October 25, 2020 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Granville County on June 3, 1947 to her late parents, Kennerson Upchurch Briggs and Sallie Burwell Briggs.

Linda met and married her husband, James C. Hilton and was a beautician and homemaker. She loved people, talking to them, and getting to know them. She loved to garden and to be outdoors. She was a woman of simplicity and strength. Linda was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Linda is survived by her husband, James; her nieces, Robin Blevins (Gary) and Faye Whitt Woodlief (Steve); her brother, Edward Briggs; her grandniece, Ellen and grandnephew, Billy; her brothers-in-laws, Harold Hilton (Kate) and Alton Hilton. She will be deeply missed by her special fur baby dog rescue, Bo and Luke, her special fur kitty. She will be greatly missed by many family and friends too numerous to name.

Linda was predeceased by her son, James Ryan Hilton and her brother, William “Buck” Briggs.
