Lewis Dudley Gooch, Jr., age 66, of Oxford, NC died Saturday, April 27, 2019.?? He was born in Vance County, NC on July 18, 1952, to his late parents, Lewis Dudley Gooch and Katherine Cobb Gooch. Dudley is survived by his wife, Gail Currin Gooch and his children, Megan Gooch Clark (Michael) and Nicholas Presley Gooch.?? He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Auth and many loving nieces and nephews, whom will all miss him greatly. In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Dudley always enjoyed a good conversation and many laughs with those he cherished most. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Enon Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Steve Brown with visitation from 2 pm to 3 pm in the church sanctuary the same day. Burial to follow at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Enon Baptist Church in his honor.
