Lessie Davis Strother

WILTON: Lessie D. Strother, born neember 16, 1910 in Granville County, died Thursday, October 29, 2009, daughter of the late Raymond Joseph and Lessie Weathers Davis and widow of J. Frank Strother. She was a retired License Practical Nurse at Granville Hospital and was the oldest member of Banks UMC. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, neember 1, 2009 from Banks UMC by Rev. Cliff Wells, Rev. Jack Sneer, and Rev. Ray Gooch. Entombment will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving, her daughter, Peggy S. Rogers of Raleigh; her son, J. Rufus Strother Linda of Raleigh; her sister, Mandy D. Boyette of Wake Forest; grandchildren, Sharon Hauser Michael, James T. Strother, Anthony R. Strother, Whitney Rogers Doug, Tom K. Rogers, III; great grandchildren, Jaqualin, Harrison, Nicholas, Jordan, Shelby, Samantha, Austin, Alex. Mrs. Strother is preceded ineeath by her son-in-law, Thomas K. Rogers, Jr.; her sister Allene Garner and her brother, Joseph Davis.
