Leona Huff Oakley, 89, of Oxford, NC died Wednesday, May 1, 2019.?? She was born ineerson County, NC oneecember 8, 1929 to her now predeceased parents, Bernee Daniel Huff and Lillian Toney Huff. As a farmer???s wife, Leona was no stranger to hard work.?? She enjoyed gardening and caring for her family.?? She found great happiness in the nurturing of a home full of love and hospitality. Leona was a wonderful woman who loved and was loved by all who knew her.?? For about teneears, Leona also worked for Revlon where she enjoyed her work and friends there. Leona is survived by her children, Delores Oakley Bullock of Raleigh, NC and Forest Lee Oakley (Sondra) of Oxford, NC.?? Granddaughters are Jill Leigh Bullock of Dallas, TX and Julie Ann Oakley of Oxford, NC.?? Leona is also survived by many close friends who claim her as ???Mama??? and ???Grandma???. In addition to her parents, Leona is predeceased by her husband, Ernest Oakley and siblings: ??Belzora H. Burwell, Candace H. Young, Mildred H. Dixon, Bob Huff, B.D. Huff Jr., Yates Huff, and H.T. Huff. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00 am at Trinity Uneed Methodist Church, 6543 Goshen Road, Oxford, NC.?? Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.?? Guests will be received in the Fellowship Hall. Flowers and other remembrances are appreciated.?? Memorials may be made to Trinity Uneed Methodist Church, 80 Dirgie Mine Road, Roxboro, NC, 27574. Family will be receiving guests at Forest Oakley???s residence at 4201 Highway 96 South, Oxford, NC, 27565. The Oakley Family is graciously being served by Gentry-neell and Vaughan Funeral Home.
