Kenneth Eugene Sealy

b. January 14, 1931

DURHAM - Kenneth Eugene Sealy, 87, of Durham, NC passed away peacefully in his sleep oneeptember 1, 2018. He was born in Elmira, NY on January 14, 1931 to Ivan aneella Sealy, He graduated from Geneva High School in 1950. Ken joined the Uneed States Air Force in 1951 and served in the Korean War. After he retired from General Electric, he enjoyed working at the Occoneechee Golf Course in Hillsborough, NC. Besides golf, he enjoyed fishing, especially the annual trips ineennessee with his son, Ken, and son-in-law Darrell. He was an usher at his church, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Durham, NC and loved having brunch with his church friends every Sunday after 7:45 AM mass. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and was especially fond of having the children take him to get a donut after each of his doctor???s appoineents. Ken was preceded ineeath by his parents, Ivan aneella Sealy, his sisters, Joyce Reif and Shirley Ellis, and his half-brother, Gerry Sealy. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Florence Sealy, seven childreneella King (Rusty); Linda Soles (Mike); Cindy Bagwell (Kirk); Keneealy Jr. (Lisa); Lisa Price (Darrell); Colleen Utley (David); and Floyd Sealy (Rebecca), as well as 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. There will be a Mass of Christian burial held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 810 West Chapel Hill Durham, NC on Tuesday, September 4th at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice. The arrangements for the Sealy family are made by Hall-Wynne Funeral Service Durham, NC.
