Kathryn Marie Key Whorley

Kathryn Marie Key Whorley reached the end of her life's journey oneecember 5, 2011. Born to Ottie Mae White and Julianeey on May 23, 1925 in Roanee, Virginia, she was the loving wife of Alton Whorley for 64 years. She was a charter member of Parkwood Uneed Methodist Church where she recently was able to help celebrate its 50th anneersary with many friends and loved ones. She worked for teneears as a kindergarten assistant at Wonderlane Kindergarten in the Parkwood Church. She was the loving mother of David Whorley deceased, Brenda Whorley Whitlow and husband Bill of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Annette Whorley Doroski and husband Chuck of Ceneeville, Virginia, Martha Whorley Radulovich and husband Mike of Raleigh, North Carolina; and Rhonda Whorley Meehan and husband Mike of Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was the loving and caring grandmother of Heather Whitlow Sorgen, Courtney Whitlow, Jacquelyn and Joshua Doroski, Ryan and Rachel Radulovich, David and Christopher Meehan, Sean and Caitie Meehan, and great-grandmother of Chase Sorgen. She was a long-time devoted member of Ebeneer Uneed Methodist Church, where she was very active until the last few years wheneer health began to decline. She was a special friend and neighbor to a large group of people and those who knew her are better people for that. She will be greatly missed. Memorials may be made to Ebeneer Uneed Methodist Church, 724 Beaver Creek Rd., Apex, NC 27502, where her funeral will be oneecember 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Officiating will be the Reverends Shay Hall and Mike Safley. The family expresses deep gratitude to all the staff at the UNC Cancer Hospital for the excellent care Kathryneeceived.
