Kathleen Marie Herd Phillips

Kathleen Marie Herd Phillips died peacefully Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Hospice at the Meadowlands in Hillsborough, NC surrounded by her loving family. She was 34 years old. A resident of Burlington, NC, Kathy was born ineew Haven, CT oneecember 29, 1975. Kathy graduated from Hamden High School in Hamden, CT, and Appalachian State Uneersity in Boone, NC. She was both a resident of the Raleigh-Durham area and worked for Qualex/Kodak for over 10 years. In addition to full-time employment, Kathy was a passionee photographer, specializing in family photography. She documented special moments for multiple families in the area. Kathy is survived by her devoted husband of five years, Anthony D. Phillips of Burlington; her daughter, Alison Grace Phillips; her parents, Carol aneedwineerd of Murrells Inlet, SC; her sisters, Kelly Herd, of Germany; Corey Herd of Radford, VA; and many loving aunts, unees and cousins. A celebration of Kathy's life will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, July 28, 2010, from the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W. Main St. in Durham. Friends and family may visit prior to the service in the funeral home from 5:30-7:00 PM. A private cremation will take place in the Hall-Wynne Crematory.
