Kaspar Fuchs

Kaspar Fuchs, 88, died on Monday, April 5, 2010. Kaspar was born ineeuler, Germany to the late Kaspar and Barbara Fuchs on April 14, 1921. Kaspar attended medical school in his homeland of Germany before immigrating to the Uneed States. He completed his internship ineew Jersey where he also met Madeline, the love of his life. They were joined in marriage and shortly relocated to Charlottesville, VA so that Kaspar could serve his residency ineeurosurgery. While here, he developed a great love for flying aneenjoyed the Blue Ridge Mountains, which reminded him of his homeland. His two sons, Herbert and Gerhard, were born in Charlottesville. In 1964 the family relocated to Los Angeles, CA where Kaspar began a long and successful career ineeurosurgery with the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group. In 1990, after 25 years of service, Kaspar retired, and he and Madeline moved to Durham, NC. Kaspar had many talents aneenjoyed many things. He appreciated all sorts of scholarly activities such as reading, science, history and music. Music held a particularly special place in his heart as he played the organ and loved attending concerts. Kaspar cherished all that life brought him and wanted to take in all that he could. He traveled as much as he could and visited many countries and neerous national parks. Kaspar is survived by his wife Madeline Fuchs of Durham; sons Herbert Fuchs and his wife Mary Ann of Durham, and Gerhard Fuchs and his wife Tami of Gainesville, FL; and grandchildren Matthew Fuchs and Julianne Fuchs Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made in Kaspar's nee to Duke Chapel, Attn.
