Karen Page Chappelle

Karen Page Chappelle, 65 passed away on June 30, 2014 at Duke Uneersity Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. She was born on June 18, 1949 in Montgomery, MD to Edward and Marion Ricci Fauneeroy. Karen grew up in Gaithersburg, MD. She graduated from Gaithersburg High School in Gaithersburg, MD in 1967. After high school she attended Shepherd Uneersity graduating with a B.A. in Sociology, Psychology, and Therapeutic Recreation Karen was preceded ineeath by her parents, Edward and Marion Fauneeroy. Karen is survived by her Children Chad and(Meredith) Kidwell of Peachtree City, GA, Lisa and (Chris) Britt of Durham, NC, Robert and (Kathryn) Chappelle of Cary, NC, and Ben and (Yajaira) Chappelle of Lutz, FL; Her brothers Timothy Fauneeroy of Frederick, MD, Edward and (Marianne) Fauneeroy of Jacksonville, FL, Ann and( James) Hinerman of Potomac Heights, MD; Her grandchildren Mallory and McClain Kidwell, Olivia, Ava, and Clair Britt, Charles and Anna Rae Chappelle, and Adia and Noah Chappelle. A Celebration of Life will be held at Woodfin Riverside Park in Woodfin, NC Sept 13 from 12-3pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Duke Medical Center 7 West and 7 East CTICU & Stepdowneemorial of Karen Page Chappelle Window Art Fund, 10 Duke Medical Ctr Durham, NC 27710.
