Joy Crews Clifton

Mrs. Joy Crews Clifton passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Genesis Health Care Siler City Center. Joy was born in Mt. Gilead, NC the daughter of William Zeb and Fanee Simmons Crews. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, Charles Thornton Clifton and her daughter, Joy Clifton Goodwin. Joy devoted her life to her home, family and church, Gum Springs Baptist Church where she taught children in Sunday School and Bible School for 30 years. The Celebration of her life will be Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Gum Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. Jackie Franks and Rev. Ray Gooch will preside. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to Gum Springs Baptist Church, 227 Gum Springs Church Road, Moncure, NC 27559.
