Johnny Waldeck, 83, of Pittsboro, died neember 11, 2008 at The Laurels of Chatham. Johnny was the younger of 2 children, born May 6, 1925 ineertianosch, Rumania, to Peter and Katharina Mueller Waldeck. Johnny immigrated to the Uneed States in June 1952, settling in northern Virginia where he worked in apple orchards and then as a dairyman. He moved to Pittsboro in 1960 and began work as dairy maneer for Jesse Fearrington until 1966. Johnny theneegan working at Fitch Lumber in Carrboro, where he worked for 24 years until retiring in 1990 as shop maneer. He was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church. Johnny was a simple man of strong character; was a hard worker, deeply patriotic, had a good sense of humor and abundant in commoneense. He believed in and had the privilige to live the American dream, and will be severly missed by family and friends. Survivors include his wife Virginia; four children, Siegfried Fred Waldeck and his wife Helen Pittsboro, John Waldeck, Jr and wife Ana Maria of Houston, TX, Alfred Waldeck and wife Pam of Pittsboro, Christine Seawell and husband Harrell of Durham; 7 grandchildren, Bryant Waldeck, Richard Waldeck, III, Stephanie Waldeck, Misti Waldeck, John Christian JC Waldeck, Andy Waldeck, Jason Waldeck; and 7 great-grandchildren. Friends may visit with the family from 1:30 - 2:30 pm Friday at Emmaus Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow in the church at 3:00 pm. The Rev.
