John Poole Stubbs

Mr. John Poole Stubbs, 87, of Juleann Lane, Pittsboro, died October 14, 2007 at UNC Hospitals. Mr. Stubbs was borneecember 12, 1919 in Bladen County, the son of Vander Stubbs and Ferebe Janeevans Stubbs. He was a member of Hanks Chapel Uneed Church of Christ, and was retired from JM Odell Mfg. in Bynum after 53 years of service. Surviving are his son, Kenny Stubbs of Fayetteville; daughters, Sandra Manning and husband Richard, and Sharon Elsenbeck and husband Wayne, all of Pittsboro; grandchildren, Ken Amy Stubbs, Jr., Chris Stubbs, Jessica Chad Stubbs, Scott Stubbs, Debby Manning, Jonathaneeth Manning, Brandon Kristin Elsenbeck, Nathaneeth Elsenbeck; great-grandchildren, Hannah Goodwin, Laura Manning, Jarrett Manning, Tyler Stubbs, Chaneer Stubbs. Mr. Stubbs was preceded ineeath by his wife, Jessie Lee Mills Stubbs, on January 12, 2007. The service to celebrate Mr. Stubbs' life will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Hanks Chapel Uneed Church of Christ. Rev. Bob Wachs will preside.
