John Michael Patriarca

John Michael Patriarca, 58, of Mebane, formerly of Hempstead, NY, died Sunday, neember 12, at Hospice Home of Burlington following a lengthy illness. He was 58 years old. John was born in Manhattan, NY on August 9, 1948 to Mary Schavone Patriarca and the late Antonio Patriarca. John was a veteran with the U.S. Navy, and also spent 25 years as a voluneer firefighter and served as a Captain for West Hempstead, NY Fire Department. He moved to Mebane in 1999 and became a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Hillsborough. John is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Eileen Patriarca of Mebane, NC; his mother, Mary Patriarca of Bronx, NY; his children: Christopher Knowles of Milford, MA; Aneew Knowles and wife, Meghann, of Royal Palm Beach, FL; and Francesca Patriarca Flanagan; and two brothers, Joseph Patriarca and wife, Mary Ann, of Bronx, NY; and Anthony Patriarca and wife, Cynthia, of Albuquerque, NM. A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered 10:30 AM Friday, neember 17, from Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Tom Tully presiding. Friends may visit Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM and again at 9:30-10:30 Friday AM in the gathering area of Holy Family Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2211 W.
