John H Covington

Pastor Johneenry Covington, age 73, of Pittsboro, NC went home to be with his Savior late Saturday, May 31, 2014. John was born July 11, 1940 in Salisbury NC. He was the pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for the last five years as well as the Chaplin for the Bynum Ruritan Club. He is preceded ineeath by his parents and two sons, John and Jeffrey Covington. He is survived by his loving wife Tina Covington; his sons Johnathan Covington of Pittsboro, NC and Mark Young of Lexington, NC; one daughter, Deborah Young, of Youngsville, NC; two brothers, Jerry Covington of Knightdale, NC and John R Covington of Vale, NC; two sisters, June and Judy; twelve grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, from 1-2:00PM, Tuesday, June 3, 2014. A funeral service will start at 2:00PM, with the Rev. Robert Elmore officiating services. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
