Joan Moody Shedd

Joan Shedd, age 100, died at Hillcrest Convalescent Center on 01/19/2021. She was born on 10/29/1920 to the late Joseph and Margery Moody in Manchester NH.

Joan Shedd graduated from the Boston School of Occupational Therapy. She volunteered at UNC Hospital for over 30 years and was named volunteer of the year in 2008. She enjoyed playing bridge, doing puzzles and needlework, and participating in Strength Training at the Seymour Center in Chapel Hill.

Joan Shedd is survived by daughters, Linda Kesler of Jacksonville FL and Carol Shedd of Chapel Hill NC; son, Stephen Shedd (Chrissy Lengacher) of Durham NC; cousin, Judi Russell of Goffstown NH, and nieces and nephews.

Joan Shedd was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Richard Shedd, and brothers Richard and Alfred Moody.

Burial will be at a later date in Manchester NH.
