Jeanette Blackwell Hatton

OXFORD: Jeanette Blackwell Hatton, age 102 died Wednesday February 2, 2011. She was a native of Granville Co. and was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Virginia Caroline Hart Blackwell. She was preceded ineeath by her husband Joe Clarence Hatton. Mrs. Hatton was a member of Tabb's Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Fox's Department Store. Funeral services will be conducted Friday February 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home by the Rev. Michael Currin and the Rev. Keith Compton. Burial will be ineeadowview Memorial Park. Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca Cheatham Jimmy of Oxford and Joanne Thomasson Woodrow "Woody" of Raleigh; grandchildren, Kristen Thomasson, Jenneer Thomasson fianeeacute;, Jeff Cowan, Karman C. Dubois Chris and Kevin Cheatham Bonee; great granddaughter Heather Scherer and four step-great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Tabb's Creek Baptist Church, c/o Alice Overton, 6537 Harold O'Brien Rd., Oxford, NC 27565. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the services.
