Janie Bowling Harris

Janie Bowling Harris, 93, passed away Sunday morning, January 13, 2008. Janie was born in Granville County on March 5, 1914, the daughter of the late James Thomas and Jenee OBriant Bowling. She was a graduate of Stem High School and for many years she was self-employed as a beautician. Mrs. Harris was a long time member of Parkview Baptist Church. She was active in the Ann Jackson Sunday School Class, the Fellowship Club and the WMU. Mrs. Harris was preceded ineeath by her husband, Grady Vester Harris and her son, Grady Vester Harris, Jr. She is survived by her grandson, Grady Scott Harris and wife, Amy, of Topeka, KS and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 17th at 2 P.M. from Parkview Baptist Church. The Rev. Al Sholar and Rev. Jack Casey will preside. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 PM Wednesday, January 16th at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home.
