Janet Lee Wilcox

Janet Lee McGarry Wilcox, born January 5, 1935, went to be with the Lord oneednesday, December 13, 2017 at the age of 82. Janet was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved children and read to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildreneeaving a lasting legacy. Janet leaves behind her son, John Howard Wilcox (Linnea); daughters, Carroll Beth Enterkin (Jay) and Gayle Woods and the late Steve Woods; grandchildren, Chris Wilcox (Whitney), Stephanie Woods, Kimberly Martinez, Sarah Wilcox (Flaco), Susan Wilcox, and David Wilcox (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Isabela, Steven, and Abigayle. She is also leaving behind many nieces and nephews who she also loved. Janet is preceded ineeath by her parents, William Henry McGarry and Nellie Mae Baker McGarry; Son-in-Law Steve Woods; and brothers and sisters: Phyllis McGarry, Francis McGarry, Bill McGarry, John McGarry, Mick McGarry, Eileen Fiorini, Donna Tofil, and Marilyn La Paze. The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Brianeenter at Southpoint (nursing home/rehab) for all the terrific care they gave our mom over the years. We would also like to thank the Duke Hock Hospice Inpatient Pavilion staff for taking great care of all of us. A funeral service for Janet will be at Hall-Wynne Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 11am with Rev. Tim Wheeler officiating. After the service, burial will follow with a brief prayer at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Durham, NC. Visitation for family and friends will be at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 6-8pm.
