James William Boykin

OXFORD: James William Boykin, 84 died Saturday September 22, 2012. A native of Vance Co. and was the son of the late Otis Aaron and Ola Mae wade Boykin. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. Jim was retired from W. A. Adams Tobacco Co., superintendent of Home Beneficial Liofe Insurance Co., a retired agent for State Farm mutual Insurance Co. of Henderson, a retired employee of Beauty and Barber Supply Co. in Winston-Salem, a builder of log homes, a member of Geneva Presbyterian Church, serving as Elder and Deacon and a choir member. Memorial services will be conducted Sunday September 30, 2012 at Geneva Presbyterian Church by Rev, Jasoneeonard. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery with military honors. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Irene Clement Boykin, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded ineeath a brother, Roy Boykin. The family request the omission of flowers and memorials may be made to Geneva Presbyterian Church, c/o Eddie Shaw, 1612 Lewis Jones rd., Oxford, NC 27565.
