James "Jimmy" Edward Jacobs

Virginia Beach, VA ??? Mr. James ???Jimmy??? Edward Jacobs, 58, died Saturday at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. Jimmy was born in S. Weymouth, MA on October 17, 1958 to Melvin P. Jacobs and the late Beverly Anne Tessier Jacobs.?? He was raised in Durham, where he graduated from Southern High School.?? Upon his graduation, he served his country with the US Navy.?? He was employed for many years as a framer and iron worker in the commercial construction industry.?? Jimmy was of the Baptist faith and an avid fan of sports, particularly Duke Blue Devil basketball and football, and the New England Patriots.?? In addition to his father, Jimmy is survived by his wife, Angela Saneelice Jacobs; son, Lucas James Jacobs of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, Larry Jacobs and his wife, Maryann, of Kempner, TX; sister, Traci Adcock, and her husband, Ronald, of Rougemont, NC; step-sister, Jenneer Keene, and her husband, Jesse of Graham, NC; his father???s wife, Forrest of Roxboro, NC; nephew, Noah Jacobs; and his niece, Crystal Jacobs. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 2:00pm in Ellis Chapel Uneed Methodist Church, Bahama.?? Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 7-9pm at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.?? Memorials may be directed to the Children???s Cancer Hospital of your choice.
