James "Jimmy" Alan Fuller, 68, died Saturday, May 28, 2011. He was born in Wake County to the late Lucy and Durwood Fuller on March 18, 1943. Jimmy was a great man who enjoyed being a part of many things in his life. He was a charter member of the Franklintoneescue Squad for 25 years, a supervisor for the US Postal Service, a member of the Americaneegion Post 52, the 40/8 Brotherhood, and Franklinton Baptist Church. Jimmy understood the importance of giving to others. He was a lifetime blood donor as well as an organ donor. His passion for golf was only exceeded by his joy in a well played practical joke. His family will forever cherish him and his wonderful sense of humor. Jimmy is survived by his wife Sarah Fuller of Franklinton, NC; son Lloyd Turner and his wife Kathy of Wendell, NC; daughters Gayla Jacobs of Wake Forest, NC, Tina Hicks and her husband Thurston of Kittrell, NC, Alicia Pearce of Franklinton, NC; four loving grandchildren; sister Ella Nay Fuller of Louisburg, NC; and one nephew. He is predeceased by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 1st at Franklinton Baptist Church, 102 W. Mason St., Franklinton, NC. The Rev. David Averette will officiate. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall one hour prior to the service.
