James Hudson Cotten

James "Jimmy" Hudson Cotten, age 72, of Pittsboro passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010. He retired from Bellsouth as a Telephone Technician after 34 years of faithful service. Jimmy is preceded ineeath by his parents, Hudson S. and Dallie Cotten; brothers, Hoyle Cotten, anee. Elmo Cotten. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Jones Cotten; daughter, Kimberly Cotteneest and husband Harvey L. West Jr.; brother, H. Wayne Cotten and wife Peggy. Also he is survived by neerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, April 12, 2010 from 6:00-8:00PM at the Griffin Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Home in Pittsboro. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 2:00PM at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with Dan Robinson, Chris Gambos, Val Chadwick, and Wesley Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include, Calvin Wilkins, Ron Davis, Spencer Davis, Harvey L. West Sr., Mark Edwards, David Cotten, and Jasper Cotten. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy's former Bellsouth Co-Workers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 1414 East 11th St., Siler City, NC 27344.
