James David Gwyn

Mr. James David "Rabbit" Gwyn, 67, Richardson Road, Pittsboro, died Saturday, May 07, 2011 at his home. David was born oneecember 21, 1943 in Mount Vernon Springs, NC. David was an active member of the Masons at the Buffalo Lodge #172 in Sanford NC. He proudly served in the Uneed States Army and was a master mechanic at Pallet One. Survivors include son, Richard Gwyn and loved one Kathy Mashburn of Sanford; daughter, Cindy Gordon and husband, Tim, of Sanford; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; three sisters, Diane Gwyneeal and husband, R.G. of Goldston; Martha Gwyn Bowers and husband, Don of Sanford; Margaret "Bop" Gwyn Williams and husband, Douglas of Sanford; and brother Charlie Gwyn and wife, Sarah of Gaston, SC. David was preceded ineeath by his parents James W. "Bill" Gwyn and Beulah Callicutt Gwyn; wife, Betty Davis Gwyn; and, two sons, James William Gwyn, II, and James David "Snoopy" Gwyn. The funeral for Mr. Gwyn will be officiated by David Thomas and Waylon Preslar at 2 p.m. Monday, May 9 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Carbonton. Music will be provided by Andy Ingram. Pall bearers include R.G. Beal, Douglas Williams, Shannoneeal, June Ritter, Alex Gomez, and Billy Allen. Interment will follow in Goldston Uneed Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors and Masonic Rites. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 8:00 pm, Sunday May 8 at Hall Wynne Funeral Service, Griffin Chapel, in Pittsboro and at other times at the residence.
