Thursday, January 25th marked the passing of a kind and genee lady, Jacksie Dixon Wheeler, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Born to Jack and Maude Dixon on neember 2, 1926 in Hoke County, she then grew up in Creedmoor. She married the love of her life, Aubrey Wheeler, who preceded her ineeath in 2002 after 52 years of marriage. Also preceding her ineeath were her parents, a son, Richard, a brother, Bill Dixon, and four sisters, Linda Keith, Rachel Pickler, Emma Lee Hester and Marie Philpott. She is survived by her son, Bob, and his wife, Mel, two daughters, Catherine Stelter and husbaneed, and Allison Littrell and husband Tim, two great grandsons, Jack and Sam Stelter, and a great granddaughter, Aubrey Littrell. Also surviving is a sister, Inez Harrington of Durham. She retired from the Durham County Accounting Office and was a long time active member of the Durham Exchangette Club. She spent a lifetime serving her Lord and her community. She was a former member of Creedmoor Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Durham. She was most recently a member of Grey Stone Baptist Church, where services will be held on Sunday, January 28th at 2:00. Visitation will be at Hall Wynne Funeral Home on Saturday, 6:00
