Irma Torres Steiner, a longtime Raleigh resident, was called home peacefully by the Lord Jesus on December 4, 2021 at the age of 69. She was born Irma Delia Torres on August 1, 1952 in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, and daughter of the late Brigido & Irma G. (Ortiz) Torres. Her family moved from Puerto Rico to Peekskill, New York where she attended Assumption Catholic School and graduated from Peekskill High School, class of 1970.

Affectionately known by many as ‘Delia’, ‘Auntie Irma’, or ‘Yaya’ by her grandchildren, she most enjoyed being a mother to Angela and grandmother to Ethan, Landon, and Cami.
Irma enjoyed the simple things in life; growing and tending to her flowers, thrift-shopping, home-decorating, and generous giving. Above all else, she valued God and the Love of family.
On February 14, 2000, she married Michael David Steiner, who survives at home.
Along with her devoted husband of 21-years, Irma is survived by her loving daughter Angela Biggerstaff Limthong and son-in-law Borphan Limthong, step-daughter Crystal Pittman, former husband and friend Daries Biggerstaff, and beloved grandchildren Ethan Limthong, Landon Pittman, and Camila Limthong.

She is also survived by 7 great-nieces & 7 great-nephews.
