Iola "Bittie" Green Williams

http:// Iola ???Bittie??? Green Williams, age 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 20, 2018, following an extended illness. Bittie was a lifelong resident of Granville County, North Carolina, and was the daughter of the late Gary A. Green and Addie Mae Currin Green. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and deeply loved by her family and friends. Her smile and sweet disposition endeared her to everyone she met. Prior to her retirement, she was a homemaker and worked along side of her husband on the family farm. She was a member of Hester Baptist Church and for many years was an active member of the Celia Ellington Sunday School. She is survived by her two sons, Jimmy Williams and wife, Glenda, and Danny Williams and wife, Jane, both of Oxford. Her grandchildren, Ashley W. Newtoneeric), Julie W Earnhardt (Jason), Kristie S. Hill (Mike), Susan W. Satterwhite (Zach), Dan Williams (Courtney), and Brandon Williams and 15 great grandchildren that she adored. She was preceded ineeath by her Husband, W. Elmus Williams, Jr., her daughter, Debbie W. Satterwhite; her grandson, Westley W. Satterwhite, her great-grandson, Colton Thomas Williams; a brother, Glen Green, and her two sisters, Celia G. Clayton and Mae G. Adams The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Hester Baptist Church, Highway 96 N, Oxford, NC, with burial to immediately follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held the same day from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall at Hester Baptist Church.
