Heneetta Terrell Burkes

Mrs. Heneetta Terrell Burkes, 101, died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Carolina Meadows Health Center in Chapel Hill, NC. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 9, 2007 in the Lecture Hall of the Activities Building at Carolina Meadows. Interment will be at a later date in Rosebud, Texas. Survivors include her soneernest Jefferson Burkes, Jr. and wife, Joanne, of Pittsboro, NC; granddaughter, Beth Burkes, of Kansas City, MO; grandson, Brian Burkes and wife Anne, of Greenwood, SC. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heneetta Burkes Teachers Award Fund, Milam County Community Foundation, 707 E. 16th Street, Cameron, TX 76520. Arrangements are under the care of Griffin Funeral Service and Cremation, Pittsboro, NC.
