Helen Workman Woody

Helen Workman Woody, 83, of Morris Road in Pittsboro died December 18, 2009 at her home. A native of Cany, Oklahoma, Mrs. Workman was born June 13, 1926 to Jennings and Lora Smith Workman. She was a retired cosmetician, and a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronee & Sandra Woody of Pittsboro; daughters and son-in-law, Susan & Brent Blietz of Charlotte, Sharon & David Scott of Pittsboro, Diane Ramsey and her children Matthew Caddle and Rachel Fields, of Pittsboro; brothers, Travis, Wayne and Harley Workman all of Oklahoma City, OK; seveneen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren. Her husband James, and son Michael, preceded her ineeath. The service to celebrate Mrs. Woody's life will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Robinson presiding. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service.
