Grover Cleveland Stegall, Jr.

Henderson, NC Grover Cleveland Stegall, Jr, 64, a resident of Vance County, died on January 16, 2019. He was the son of the late Grover C. Stegall, Sr and Ola E. Short Stegall and born in Vance County on August 24, 1954. Grover began working as a farmer and later went to work for Lenox China for 16 years in the Glazing Department and then to Wal-Mart in Maintenance for 13 years. He loved to spend time outdoors and enjoyed yard work and gardening. Grover is survived by his wife of 42 years, Peggy W. Stegall; his son Scott A. Stegall; his brother, Jerry Stegall, NC; and three sisters, Stella Stegall, NC, Brenda Strother, CA, and Donna Bowes, NC. He will be greatly missed by many loving friends and family. Grover is predeceased by his parents; and his two sons, Waylon L. West and Grover C. Stegall, III. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Gentry-Newell - Vaughan. A funeral service will be held at Grace Baptist Church on January 19, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Cecil Newton officiating and burial to follow at Grassy Creek Baptist Cemetery.
