Mrs. Gloria Frances Freeman Wagner died June 16 at Croasdaile Village. A Durham native, she was born January 24, 1928 to Mary Lee Duncan Freeman and Theodore Marvin Freeman, Sr., who predeceased her. Gloria was the widow of Warren Eugene Wagner, the love of her life. She also was predeceased by brother, Theodore Marvin Freeman, Jr. Gloria was a member of Mt. Sylvan Uneed Methodist Church and was an ardent and faithful fan of the Duke Uneersity Blue Devils. Gloria is survived by several siblings: Carolyn Hightower and husband, Lou of Chapel Hill, Diane Hancock of Sanford, Sylvia Bult and husband, David of Mullins, S.C., Jayne Kirkpatrick and husband, Stephen of Durham, and Jerry Freeman and wife, Janee, of Melbourne, Fla. She is also survived by: Son, James H. Hayes of Battleboro, N.C. and grandchildren: Anna Hayes, Dalene Ward and husband, Tiger, and Jamison Hayes and wife, Heather. In addition, she is survived by three great-grand children and a host of nieces and nephews. The family extends its most profound gratitude to the staff of Croasdaile Village at the Pavilion for the loving care they showered on Gloria. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., Monday, June 20, at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W. Main St., with the service to follow at 11 a.m. in the Hall-Wynne Chapel. Dr. Tom Greener of Mt. Sylvan Uneed Methodist Church will preside. Interment will be at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens.
