Geraldine Pickett

DURHAM-Geraldine Bailey Pickett, 91, of Durham died Tuesday, September 25, 2012. She was born in Durham on August 1, 1921 the daughter of the late Hugh Thomas Bailey and Bessie Ann Scott Bailey. Geraldine was a longtime member of Aneer Avenue Baptist Church and retired from American Tobacco Company. She was the youngest of seven siblings who preceded her ineeath along with her husband, Cecil Pickett, son, Larry Pickett and great granddaughter, Jordyn Williams. Geraldine is survived by her granddaughter, Amy Williams and husband, Danny of Durham; grandson, Chris Pickett and wife, Christine of Ponte Vedra, FL; great grandchildren, Bailey Pickett, Jacob Williams, Faith Williams, Anna Constantino and Jessi Galgano. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Saturday in the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service with the Rev. Jim Baggett officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum. Friends may visit from 10:00-11:00am at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Little Red Foundation, 935 Matthews Lane, Rougemont, NC 27572.
