Frances Edeburn Slavin, beloved wife of Jack Slavin of Chapel Hill, NC, passed away oneebruary 27, 2013 after a brief illness. Born on January 23, 1929 in Indiana, PA, Frances was the daughter of the late Charles and Frances Woodburn. She was a graduate of the Uneersity of Pennsylvania. Frances married James Edeburn on October 29, 1955, and was the mother of three sons: Mark Edeburn, married to Jenneer, of Boston, MA; Brian Edeburn, married to Natalie, of Matthews, NC; and Gregory Edeburn of New York City, NY. She enjoyed being a loving grandmother to Christian, Katherine, James and Benjamin Edeburn. Frances was pre-deceased by her first husband, James Edeburn on July 6, 2000, her parents, brothers, Charles and Jack Woodburn, and her sister, Joanne Woodburn Cahill. She married Jack Slavin oneebruary 11, 2006. Frances was a devoted member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Frances will be deeply missed and lovingly recalled by her family as well as by all who knew and loved her for her genee words and kineess and loving personality. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, from St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Scott E. McCue presiding. Friends may visit with the family following the mass in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chapel Hill Inter-Faith Council, 110 W.
