Frances Delano Pressley Hess

Mrs. Frances Delano Pressley Hess, 77, formerly of the Bear Creek community died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Laurels of Chatham. A native of Yazoo, MS., Mrs. Hess was borneebruary 3, 1934, the daughter of Charles Franklin Pressley aneethel Mae Butler Pressley. Mrs. Hess moved to the Chatham County area in 1994 with her husband of 37 years, Louis W. Hess, Jr. A loving wife, mother and homemaker, she took pleasure in cooking, needlecraft and knitting. She enjoyed the beach, and liked going crabbing during her time spent there. Mrs. Hess liked to go dancing and appreciated good country music, especially Merle Haggard. In addition to her husband Lou, Mrs. Hess is survived by two sons, Donald Blaine Hart of Pittsboro and Charles Muril Hart of Hillsborough. A memorial gathering to celebrate Mrs. Hess' life will be held at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Hall - Wynne Funeral Home in Pittsboro with Pastor Bob Wachs presiding.
