Frances Davis Ellison

Frances Davis Ellison, beloved mother, wife, sister, and lifelong caregiver, passed away Friday afternoon, August 24, in the presence of her husband Fred of 62 years, her four children, and her surviving sibling, sister Heleneernard. Her transition was made at Croasdaile Village, the nursing home in Durham, North Carolina, where she and Fred have resided since March 2004, after living in Rock Hill, South Carolina, for 40 years. Born in Connelly Springs, NC on January 28, 1923, to Flossie Mae Witherspoon Davis and William Earl Davis, Mary Frances Davis grew up in the hotel/mineral springs spa that her grandfather built on the nearby railroad line, and later in the spacious home and sometime boarding house he built close by the old hotel.
