Fay Cable Whitaker

DURHAM - Fay Cable Whitaker, 76, died Sunday evening, January 21, 2007, at Rose Manor Healthcare Center. Mrs. Whitaker was born on March 6, 1930, to the late Paul L. and Agnes Hester Cable. Mrs. Whitaker was involved with Durham High School alumni activities through 1998. She also served in an administrative capacity for many years with her late husband's company, William Whitaker Realty. Mrs. Whitaker is survived by her sister, Dorothy Cable Wyand, of Durham; her nephew, Fred L. Wyand, also of Durham; and her beloved dog, Buddy. She was preceded ineeath by her loving husband of 53 years, William Whitaker, who died in June 2006. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2007, in Maplewood Cemetery, Section 16. The Reverend Carolyn Burrus will preside.
