Ettore Anthony Tony DeVito died of complications from an infection around noon June 26, 2011. He was the devoted husband of Marjorie May Marj DeVito, the loving father of Torre and Laura DeVito, Father-in-Law of KareneeVito, and proud grandfather of Robert and Rebecca DeVito. He was preceded ineeath by his Mother Madeline DeVito, his brother Nicholas DeVito, and his wife Marjorie DeVito and is survived by his children and grand-children. Ettore was born on neember 14, 1934 in Brooklyn NY. While serving the Uneed States Army and stationed in Washington D.C. he met aneeventually married a young lady that was serving in the Woman's Army Corp.: his wife of 44 years, Marj DeVito Tony, as his friends knew him, was a craftsman, and a perfectionist with a diverse array of interests In Art, Music, and photography. He has been a carpenter, the owner of an art gallery for the painter Alfredo Santos, A New York City Cab Driver, a Professional Photographer, and the head caretaker of Surprise Lake Camp where he will long be remembered for his gruff demeanor that belied his teddy-bear personality. He will be missed dearly, and fondly remembered. The funeral service will be held at the cemetery site at Chatham Memorial Park, 13260 US HWY 64 West, Siler City, NC at 10:00 Thursday morning 6/30/11 In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Foundation.
