Emily Thompson Fowler, 95, died Monday, May 27, 2013, at Villines Rest Home in Hillsborough. She was born July 7, 1917 to Eugene W. aneemily H. Belvin Thompson. She was a life resident of Durham where she graduated from Bragtown High School and was a lifetime member of Duke's Chapel Uneed Methodist Church. She was preceded ineeath by her parents, her husband of 50 years, Ted R. Fowler, who died in 1990, and her two brothers, Eugene and Belvin Thompsoneemily loved her church, family and friends. Surviving are: her son, Ted W. Fowler and his wife Linda of Hillsborough; two grandchildren, Jonathan A. Fowler and Melanie Toth; two great-grandchildren, Samuel and Benjamin Toth. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W. Main St., Durham. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday at Duke's Chapel Uneed Methodist Church Cemetery, Durham. The Rev. Julia Alliger will officiate. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Villines Rest Home, 401 W. Queen St. Hillsborough, NC 27278 or to Duke's Chapel Uneed Methodist Church, 807 Old Oxford Rd. Durham, NC 27704.
