Elizabeth "Lib" Franklin Barker

Lexington, neelizabeth Franklin Barker, age 84, died at 4:30 am on Monday, April 15, 2013 at the Thomasville Medical Center ineexington, NC. She was born oneeptember 12, 1928 in Oxford to the late Samuel Edward Parrott, Sr. and Martha Harris Parrott. She was also the widow of the late Henry Franklin and William Leonard Barker. Elizabeth was a member of Tabb's Creek Baptist Church and was a scheduling clerk for Burlington Industries. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 11:00 am at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Chapel. Burial will follow at Meadowview Memorial Park in Oxford. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am prior to the service. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen and son-in-law Bobby Dickerson of Lexington, NC; three sons, Larry Franklin of Denver, NC, Don Franklin of Charlotte and Ron Franklin of Hillsboro, NC; three grandsons, Michael and David Dickerson, and Matthew Franklin; two great-grandsons, Ryan Dickerson and Alex Stephens of Edmond, Oklahoma; 2 step-daughters and 4 step-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carolina House of Lexington, Memory Care Unit, 161 Young Drive, Lexington, NC 27295.
